Guru Tegh Bahadhur was 9th guru and head Sikh faith. He was beheaded by Aurangazeb’s orders. Reason for beheading was that he did not agree to convert to Islam. His Son Guru Govind Singh and all his 4 sons were martyred while fighting back Surangazeb. Delhi’s Chandani Chowk is the place where he was beheaded. While Guru Tegh Bahadhur was kept inside a cage to watch his 3 main associates were brutally killed bcoz even they refused to embrace Islam. The details of his main associates who were brutally killed are as below.
Bhai Mati Das was sawn into pieces.
Bhai Dayal Das was thrown into cauldron of boiling water.
Bhai Sati Das was burned alive.
This is the very same place, on 23.13.1912 a strong bomb was thrown by revolutionaries guided by Rash Bihari Bose on the howdah of Viceroy Harding known as Delhi Conspiracy case in the annals of our freedom movement. This incident echoed across the world the non stop aspirations of patriots of our country for independence.
